About the Role
Are you passionate about helping young people develop the confidence, independence and life skills they need to succeed beyond the classroom?
At 3 Dimensions School, we're looking for an enthusiastic, creative and forward-thinking PSHE Lead to take ownership of an important curriculum area and make a lasting difference to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
This is more than a teaching role. It's an opportunity to shape how students understand themselves, build healthy relationships, make informed choices and prepare for adulthood.
You'll lead the development and delivery of PSHE and Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) across Key Stages 1–5, creating engaging, meaningful learning experiences that reflect students' individual needs, abilities and aspirations.
From helping younger students understand friendships and emotions to preparing older students for employment, independent living and adult relationships, you'll play a vital role in equipping young people with skills they'll use throughout their lives.
Working closely with teaching, safeguarding and therapy teams, you'll have the opportunity to bring your ideas to life, strengthen curriculum provision and influence personal development across the school.
If you're an experienced PSHE educator, curriculum leader or SEND professional ready to take the next step, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
What You’ll be doing
• Lead and shape PSHE and RSHE provision, developing an inspiring, inclusive curriculum across Key Stages 1–5.
• Bring important life lessons to life, delivering creative and engaging sessions covering wellbeing, relationships, personal safety, healthy choices and personal development.
• Prepare students for adulthood, embedding independence, employability, resilience and essential life skills into meaningful learning experiences.
• Make learning accessible to everyone, adapting curriculum content to meet individual SEND needs, EHCP outcomes and different stages of development.
• Inspire and support colleagues, sharing expertise, resources and effective teaching approaches to strengthen PSHE and RSHE delivery.
• Drive curriculum improvement, monitoring student progress, evaluating impact and identifying opportunities to develop provision.
• Work collaboratively with specialist teams, including safeguarding, therapy and education colleagues, to ensure a consistent approach to student wellbeing.
• Champion positive relationships and inclusion, helping create a school culture where every student feels respected, valued and confident to make positive choices.
What you will bring
We're looking for someone who believes that education should prepare young people not just for their next lesson, but for the opportunities and challenges they'll encounter throughout life.
You'll bring:
• Experience teaching PSHE, RSHE or Personal Development, with the ability to make sensitive and important topics accessible and engaging.
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, understanding how to adapt teaching to individual learning and communication needs.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding, student wellbeing and statutory RSHE requirements.
• Experience leading a curriculum area or contributing to educational improvement, with the confidence to develop and enhance provision.
• A creative, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to inspire students across different age groups.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to support colleagues and work collaboratively with specialist professionals.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent.
• A Level 3 qualification or above in Education, Health, Social Care, Psychology, Youth Work or a related field.
• A full UK driving licence, as the role involves working across both school sites.
