Bangkok's cost of living has risen but remains modest by international standards outside premium expat areas.

Foreign teachers in Thailand work on a Non-Immigrant B visa, converted to a work permit on arrival in-country. Schools sponsor and manage the permit process, which must be renewed annually. A bachelor's degree minimum is required; a recognised teaching qualification and/or CELTA significantly improves employment prospects. The process is well-established; schools experienced in international hiring handle it routinely.
