EU/EEA nationals work freely in Germany. Non-EU teachers require a work permit under the Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz (Skilled Immigration Act). State school teaching requires formal recognition of qualifications by the relevant Bundesland, which varies in process and timeline.
