Thailand's national curriculum is overseen by the Ministry of Education. Bangkok's cost of living has risen but remains modest by international standards outside premium expat areas.

Foreign teachers in Thailand work on a Non-Immigrant B visa, converted to a work permit on arrival in-country. Schools sponsor and manage the permit process, which must be renewed annually. A bachelor's degree minimum is required; a recognised teaching qualification and/or CELTA significantly improves employment prospects. The process is well-established; schools experienced in international hiring handle it routinely.
