Science Technician (August 2026 start)

This is an exciting opportunity for a Science Technician to join an inter-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the department, supporting the Teaching staff in their delivery of the Sciences at all levels including IGCSE and A Level and making a significant contribution to Junior Science. They will demonstrate sound subject knowledge, a passion for Science, commitment to safeguarding children and young people and excellent interpersonal skills. In addition, the Science Technician will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in response to the needs of the Department and the wider team. They should be willing to contribute to the care of animals, development of the Outdoor Classroom, assist with departmental administration and attend external events held out of normal School hours, on occasion. The role is a part-time, permanent position. The listed salary is an FTE equivalent and dependent on experience. The successful candidate will be required to work 15-20 hours/week between 08.30am-12.30pm, over 4-5 days Mon-Fri. The expected start date is 24.08.26.
