Preparatory School Chaplain and Religious Education Teacher

About the role

We are now seeking a permanent full-time Preparatory School Chaplain and Religious Education teacher to contribute to the College’s Religious Education programme. ‍ The key responsibilities of the role are: • Working closely with the Chaplaincy & Music teams and plan, organise and deliver regular Preparatory School chapel services; • Ensure that services are engaging, inspiring and age appropriate; • Lead special services • Encourage student participation in worship • Plan, deliver and evaluate a high-quality Religious Education programme across Years 1-8; • Integrate Religious Education with the College’s values; • Pastoral care for students, staff and families; • Supporting wellbeing initiatives across the College and driving a positive culture. ‍ You will be a qualified teacher who is an expert in helping students thrive, stay engaged, be creative and forward-thinking. A relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Theology is highly desirable. You will be active in contributing toward key college services and will promote College values. You’ll be practicing in your faith and be able to utilise your dynamic capabilities across teaching and learning. You’ll be positive, team orientated and will have strong interpersonal skills. ‍ St Andrew’s College offers a supportive and encouraging workplace and culture.
