Senior School Business Teacher Full-time Temporary Position Start Date: As Soon As Possible Department: Senior School Reports to: Principal, Senior School Role Overview To support our vision of empowered young women challenging and transforming the world, we are currently seeking a Senior School Business Studies Teacher. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Senior School Principal and Faculty and will be responsible for learning and teaching within Economics, Launching and Leading a Business, International Business Fundamentals and Canadian History courses. Experience Experience with developing innovative inquiry-based programming that challenges students with a variety of learning styles, interests and strengths. Exemplary communication and collaboration skills with the proven ability to develop relationships and a caring rapport with students and their families, and with colleagues. 2+ years experience teaching at Senior School level (Grades 9-12) with a focus on Business & Social Sciences Experience in a non-profit setting (asset) Experience in an Independent School (asset) Working Conditions: Office / School Environment, Mac, Google Education: Bachelor of Education, Ontario Teacher Certification Duties and Responsibilities Teach Business and History classes within the Senior School. Provide inspirational learning experiences for students. Work collaboratively within the department and the Senior School faculty on curricular initiatives. Maintain consistent and professional communication with students, faculty and parents. Contribute to the co-curricular life of the School. Other responsibilities as assigned.
