About the Role
At Park School, we're looking for passionate and caring Teaching Assistants to join our specialist team supporting students with Autism and additional learning needs.
This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll play a key part in helping students build confidence, develop independence, regulate their emotions and achieve milestones that can have a lifelong impact.
Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, have worked in care, support work, youth work, residential settings, mental health services, sports coaching or simply have a genuine passion for helping young people thrive, we'd love to hear from you. Full training and ongoing development will be provided.
Working alongside teachers, therapists and specialist professionals, you'll help create a positive, nurturing and engaging environment where students feel safe, valued and empowered to succeed.
No two days are the same, but every day brings the opportunity to make a real difference.
What You’ll Do
• Supporting students in lessons, one-to-one and in small groups
• Building trusted relationships that help students feel confident and secure
• Encouraging communication, independence and social development
• Helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their individual goals
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and families to achieve the best outcomes
• Celebrating progress and recognising every success, no matter how small
Who We're Looking For
• GCSE English and Maths Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
• Compassionate, patient and committed to helping young people succeed
• Positive, resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations
• A strong communicator who can build meaningful relationships
• Flexible, proactive and keen to learn new skills
• A team player who enjoys working collaboratively
